21.08.2004 Autosport Report CER Silverstone
... back

Read this week's Autosport for a report about the CER race at Silverstone:

"Bobby Verdon-Roe secured the Classic Endurance Racing spoils in his Ligier JS3, but the moral victor was Philipp Brunn who dominated proceedings for virtually the entire race in his Porsche 908.

Verdon-Roe briefly got ahead of Brunn at the start of the race, although the latter soon found his rhythm and was able to pull comfortably clear. But with just minutes left on the clock Brunn ran out of fuel, and coasted to a halt on the Hangar-Straight.

Verdon-Roe took the win ahead of Juan Barazi's Porsche 917. Brunn's superiority meant that he still took third ahead of Paul Knapfield."
