The British "Classic & Sports Car" magazine said of Brunn's Silverstone drive: "All weekend Brunn Jnr had been the class ... of the field, setting a blistering pace five seconds clear of [his] nearest rivals - from the start of the hour long race, the white 908 stormed into the lead with Philipp in control and, at the pit-stop, father Siggi decided to let him continue. For lap after lap, Brunn Jnr's PACE WAS AWESOME as he continually broke his own record until, on the last lap, the 908 stuttered to a halt.....with a dry petrol tank."
